The car was picked up by its first owner directly from the Porsche factory in Stuttgart on November 19, 1976. The original service booklet that came with the car nicely documents the delivery as well as the inspections and maintenance carried out over the following decades.
The vehicle was delivered in the attractive and contemporary color combination of platinum diamond metallic and black leather. As further extras, the car has the sports package with front and rear spoiler (very rare solid rubber version) as well as the Carrera lettering on the sides. A Blaupunkt Bamberg Electronic 455 with accompanying instructions, the original sales brochure with German price list from 1977 and a complete on-board tool kit with compressor round off the collector's package perfectly.
The car is in a very well-maintained and original overall condition. The low mileage for its age is reflected throughout the vehicle. The glazing is very well preserved and has almost no scratch marks. The underbody is in excellent original and very clean condition.
The vehicles in the Carrera 3.0 series have become real collector's items due to the small number of units produced. With only 1123 units produced, the Carrera 3.0 in the targa version is a very rare piece and with these key data a real rarity.
